The charging method comprises the following steps: after entering into a state of charge, a robot moves to a preset charging positioning point; taking the charging positioning point as a starting point, the robot moves to a charging area according to a preset route; the charging area is formed by an electric energy supply device; detecting whether a preset target charging position is reached in the process of moving along the preset route; when reaching the target charging position, controlling the robot to stop moving, and receiving electric energy provided by the electric energy supply device through an electric energy receiving device in the robot.
