METHOD FOR CO-POLYMERIZATION, CO-POLYMER AND RUBBER COMPOSITION AND THEIR USE

The invention relates to a method for co-polymerization of dienes using at least one RAFT agent, a co-polymer produced by the method, a sulfur-crosslinkable rubber mixture, and the use of the sulfur-crosslinkable rubber mixture for the production of vehicle pneumatic tires, belts, straps or hoses. In the method for co-polymerization of at least one monomer of group A) consisting of dienes with at least one monomer of group B) selected from the group consisting of alkenes, vinyl acetate, acrylic acid derivatives and methacrylic acid derivatives, at least one switchable RAFT agent from the group of N-methyl-N-(4-pyridinyl)dithiocarbamates according to formula I) is used: wherein R is an R-group typical for RAFT polymerization, and wherein H + stands for a proton, and wherein by addition of a proton donor (acid) the form of the agent shown on the right is obtained and by addition of a proton acceptor (base) the form of the agent shown on the left is obtained.
