INTERIOR LIGHTING SYSTEM FOR VEHICLE

An interior lighting system for a vehicle. The vehicle comprising a non-transparent roof comprising an outside surface exposed to environment and an inside surface exposed to an internal volume of the vehicle. A sensor device is configured to infer a characteristic of light impinging on a section of the outside surface. An illumination device is configured to emit light from a section of the inside surface. A control device controls the illumination device such that at least one characteristic of light emitted from the section of the inside surface mimics the at least one characteristic of light impinging on the section of the outside surface inferred by the sensor device. A computer-implemented method and a related computer control program (with instructions), when implemented and/or executed, control an interior lighting system of a vehicle.
