RUBBER COMPOSITION AND TIRE

The rubber composition according to an embodiment contains a rubber component containing a modified solution-polymerized styrene butadiene rubber, silica, and a thiuram-based vulcanization accelerator represented by the following general formula (1). Based on 100 parts by mass of the rubber component, the silica content is 80 to 140 parts by mass, and the thiuram-based vulcanization accelerator content is 0.2 to 6 parts by mass. In the formula (1), R, R, R, and Rare each independently a hydrocarbon group having 12 to 20 carbon atoms and may contain one heteroatom or more, and Rand Rand/or Rand Rmay form a heterocyclic group together with the nitrogen atom to which they are bonded.
