Provided are a method and apparatus for obtaining battery state information, the method including controlling a pulse generator to supply a pulse of a frequency to battery modules, calculating an impedance value corresponding to the frequency at a same time a battery including the battery modules is charged based on voltage measurement information and current measurement information corresponding to the pulse obtained in real time, and obtaining the battery state information based on the impedance value.
