In the context of a method, the method includes obtaining travel pathway data for a vehicle, the travel pathway data comprising current environmental data and historical environmental data in accordance with at least a portion of the travel pathway; generating, via a generative AI model, a fueling plan for the vehicle along the at least a portion of the travel pathway based on the current environmental data and the historical environmental data, wherein: a reward function of the generative AI model is based on a negative summation of at least one greenhouse emission estimate for the vehicle along the at least a portion of the travel pathway and at least one fuel availability parameter; and executing the fueling plan to control fuel utilized by the vehicle during navigation along the travel pathway.",
