The secondary battery includes a battery can that provides a space for accommodating an electrode assembly and opens toward the outside of the secondary battery, the electrode assembly accommodated in the battery can, and a cap assembly including a cap plate coupled to an upper end portion of the battery can by welding to seal the battery can, wherein a welding portion that couples the battery can to the cap plate includes a first welding portion and a second welding portion that provide different bonding forces.",
