The present disclosure relates to a computer system including processing circuitry configured to control a cruise control system of a vehicle, the vehicle including a power system configured to provide propulsion power to the vehicle, and an accelerator pedal, wherein the processing circuitry being further configured to: obtain a target speed; on the basis of the target speed, determine a minimal allowed speed to which the vehicle is allowed to reduce; and in response to determining that the accelerator pedal has been depressed, temporarily adjust the minimal allowed speed until a criterion is fulfilled.
