The invention relates to a vehicle superstructure, in particular for commercial vehicles, having at least one center bow (13) and a tarpaulin (10) which in a closed state can be fixed by a fastening system to the center bow (13) and delimits a cargo space (40), wherein the fastening system has at least a first fastening element (26, 26') assigned to the tarpaulin (10) and at least a second fastening element (28, 28') formed on the center bow (13), wherein the first fastening element (26, 26') and the second fastening element (28, 28') can be brought into releasable engagement with one another. According to the invention, the first fastening element (26, 26') is connected to a pulling element (14), wherein the pulling element (14) can be actuated from outside the cargo space (40) independently of the tarpaulin (10).
