GLAZING COMPRISING A REINFORCEMENT ELEMENT AND PROCESS FOR ITS FABRICATION

A glazing comprising a glazed element (10) provided with a peripheral frame or peripheral elements in plastic material overmoulded onto said glazed element (10), said frame or said peripheral elements incorporating at least one reinforcing element of the glazed element (13', 14', 15, 16, 17, 18', 19', 19", 20) linked to said frame or peripheral elements by an overmoulding plastic material (9) and constituted by a profile comprising a core part (11) which is arranged parallel or substantially parallel in proximity to the glazed element (10) and which carries at least one protruding part (12) distal with respect to the glazed element, in which the protruding part or parts (12) does or do not form an open pocket in the direction of the glazed element (10). A method of manufacturing such a glazing is also disclosed.
