A method for causing unlocking and locking of at least one door (11) of a vehicle (10) for delivery of a consignment, in particular a package and/or a letter, into the vehicle is disclosed, which comprises: - receiving (301, 401) access authorization information at a control device (100), - causing (302, 403) unlocking of the door (11) of the vehicle (10) at least partially in dependence on the received access authorization information by the control device, - receiving (303, 405, 407, 408, 410) one or more delivery event information associated with a delivery event at the control device (100), - causing (304, 411) locking of the door (11) of the vehicle (10) by the control device only if the received delivery event information is associated with one or more predetermined delivery events.
