The invention relates to a sensor device with a cup-shaped sensor housing and a cable-bound sensor, wherein the cup-shaped sensor housing has an insertion area for the cable-bound sensor. Furthermore, an alignment area for the sensor and a placement area of the sensor near the front end of the sensor housing are provided. According to the invention, the alignment area has a cross-sectional inner contour that is adapted to the cross-sectional contour of the sensor, and the sensor is inserted into the sensor housing in its placement area with a curable material.
