TRANSPORT REFRIGERATION UNIT ADAPTER FRAME FOR RAILWAY CAR INSTALLATION

Disclosed is an adapter frame (400) for attaching a transport refrigeration unit (TRU) (10) to a railway car (200), the adapter frame (400) having a window (420) and a supporting section (440), the window (420) having a rectangular shape, the supporting section (440) extending from an edge of the window (420) and comprising two or more truss members (422) spanning from an edge of the window (420) to a corresponding edge of the supporting section (440), wherein the adapter frame (400) is configured for installation between the TRU (10) and the railway car (200) such that a distal end (66) of a protruding evaporator section (70) of the TRU (10) protrudes into the window (420).
