A slide device (1) includes a lock mechanism (4) for fixing an upper rail (3) to a lower rail (2). The lock mechanism (4) includes a shaft (6) attached to the upper rail (3), a lock tooth (7) swingably supported by the shaft (6), and a wave washer (8) that presses the lock tooth (7) in an axial direction of the shaft (6). An outer circumferential face of the shaft (6) has an outer tapered face (6b) slanted so that the shaft (6) becomes thinner along a direction from a proximal end portion (6d) toward a distal end portion (6a). An inner circumferential face of the shaft hole (7b) of the lock tooth (7) has an inner tapered face (7c) having a slant angle that allows face-to-face contact with the outer tapered face (6b). The wave washer (8) presses the lock tooth (7) in a direction in which the inner tapered face (7c) is pressed against the outer tapered face (6b) to make face-to-face contact.",
