OPERATING METHOD FOR AN EXHAUST GAS CLEANING DEVICE AND CORRESPONDING DRIVE SYSTEM

The invention relates to an operating method for an exhaust gas purification system with an exhaust gas catalyst (4) comprising the following steps: - determining a catalyst characteristic variable of the exhaust gas catalyst (4), wherein the catalyst characteristic variable represents the cleaning effect of the exhaust gas catalyst (4), and - performing an engine measure to improve the cleaning effect of the exhaust gas catalyst (4) when the catalyst characteristic variable indicates insufficient cleaning effect of the exhaust gas catalyst (4), and - determining an operating point of the internal combustion engine (1) in an engine characteristic map. The invention provides that the engine measure to improve the cleaning effect of the exhaust gas catalyst (4) is initiated as a function of the operating point of the internal combustion engine (1). Furthermore, the invention encompasses a corresponding drive system.
