The present invention relates to a luminous device (101 a, 101b, 101 c, 102a, 102b, 200), in particular for lighting and/or signaling (100) for a motor vehicle, comprising: - at least one first light source (202) intended to emit a first modulated light beam encoding information; - at least one second light source (206, 203) intended to emit a second modulated light beam encoding information; - a control device adapted to: - determine, upon receipt of information to be transmitted via the luminous device, whether a first light beam intended to be emitted by the first source must be modulated to encode said information to be transmitted and/or whether a second beam intended to be emitted by the second source must be modulated to encode said information to be transmitted, said determination being a function of information relating to local sunlight; - modulate, as a function of said determination, the first light beam and/or the second light beam supply to encode said information to be transmitted.
