The invention relates to a method for determining a roadway gradient, in particular for a vehicle combination, comprising a vehicle and at least one coupled trailer. The method comprises the determination of a first roadway gradient of a first section of a roadway on which the vehicle is currently located (S2), the determination of a course of the roadway gradient (S1), and the determination of a second roadway gradient of a second section of a roadway on which the trailer is currently located, by means of the determined course of the roadway gradient (S3).
