TRACTION FORK FOR A TRAILER VEHICLE
DRIVE
November 30, 2016
A drawbar (1) is proposed for a trailer vehicle, which is provided at its front end with a towing eye (2) for the purpose of connection with a towing vehicle, and at its forked rear end with hinges (6) that allow the drawbar (1) to pivot about a horizontal axis, wherein a spring (12) is provided to at least partially compensate for the drawbar weight acting on the towing eye (2). In order to improve a drawbar of the generic type, in which compensation of the drawbar weight is achieved via a spring and in particular a helical spring, in the direction of enabling the use of a spring designed for lower forces, a lever element (9) is provided that is mounted on the drawbar (1) on a pivot axis (A) arranged transversely to the vehicle longitudinal direction, which lever element is provided above and/or below the pivot axis (A) with articulation points (A1, A2), at which one end (16) of the spring (12) and the front end (26) of an elongated pulling or pushing element (22) are fixed, the rear end (25) of which is fixed to the vehicle or chassis below or above the hinges (6).
