A system (10) includes a controller circuit (12) configured to monitor, while a host vehicle (14) is operated in a manual driving mode, a speed change response of an operator of the host vehicle (14) based on a movement of a first vehicle (16) traveling on a roadway, identify at least one speed parameter based on the speed change response, and apply, when the host vehicle (14) is controlled in an autonomous driving mode, the at least one speed parameter based on the movement of a second vehicle (28) traveling on the roadway.
