DRIVE November 23, 2016
Source
An internal combustion engine (100) is provided. The internal combustion engine (100) includes a compressor (23a) that is arranged in an intake passage; an intercooler (24) that is arranged downstream of the compressor (100) in a direction of intake air flow, in the intake passage; and a blow-by gas returning apparatus (90). The blow-by gas returning apparatus (90) includes a bypass passage (94), an ejector (95), and a blow-by gas passage. The bypass passage (94) connects together a first position that is arranged between the compressor (23a) and the intercooler (24), and a second position that is arranged downstream of the intercooler (24) of the intake passage. The ejector (95) is arranged in the bypass passage (94), and configured to draw in blow-by gas from a crankcase (4) in the engine main body (1) through the blow-by gas passage when air flows through the bypass passage (94) from the first position towards the second position.
