The invention relates to a motor vehicle heat exchanger system with a closed circuit for a working medium AM. In an evaporator 1, the working medium AM is evaporated and flows to a condenser 20 arranged in the motor vehicle above the evaporator 1. The liquefied working medium AM condensed in the condenser 20 is returned to the evaporator 1 via a return line 21 driven by gravity. The evaporator 1 preferably comprises a plurality of evaporator modules 2, 3 interconnected to form a unit, wherein each evaporator module 2, 3 has a housing 4 in which a heat exchanger structure 5 is arranged to increase the heat transfer surface and the evaporation rate.
