Tank system for a vehicle (1), comprising a first and a second pressure vessel (5, 6) which can be mounted at different locations on a chassis (3) of the vehicle (1), wherein at least one connecting line (9, 18, 21) of the second vessel (6) is routed to that location of the chassis (3) where the first vessel (5) is located and terminates in a fitting (14, 17, 19, 20) accessible there, wherein the fitting (14, 17, 19, 20) is located at least partially in a corner space (15a - 15f) which is enclosed between the first vessel (5) and the smallest possible imaginary rectangular solid (16) circumscribing the first vessel (5).
