The receiving unit (6) is configured to receive repeatedly transmitted wireless tyre pressure signals (16), transmitted at a constant time period T between each transmission from a pressure sensor module (18) arranged for measuring tyre pressures. The tyre pressure monitoring module is adapted to be in an on mode, an off mode and in a wake up mode. In said wake up mode the TPM module has a medium level of functionality.
