"textContent": "The invention relates to a method for determining a characteristic parameter characterizing the knock resistance of a fuel with the aid of a test engine (2) having at least one cylinder (1), wherein the fuel is burned within the cylinder (1) in the course of the method and the cylinder pressure arising during combustion is detected with the aid of a pressure sensor (4), wherein a pressure sensor (4) with a linear pressure output signal characteristic is used. According to the invention, it is proposed that based on the output signal of the pressure sensor (4), a characteristic parameter characterizing the knock resistance of the fuel is calculated, wherein the calculation is performed on the basis of a mathematical model which takes into account the deviation of the pressure output signal characteristic of the pressure sensor (4) being used from the pressure output signal characteristic of a pickup sensor (5) prescribed in the standard ASTM D2699. Furthermore, a test arrangement for determining the knock resistance of a fuel is proposed.",
