"textContent": "The invention relates to a method for operating a lighting device (12) of a motor vehicle (10), wherein the lighting device (12) has a plurality of semiconductor light sources and a control device (14) for controlling the semiconductor light sources and is designed to illuminate a forward area of the motor vehicle (10) at least in a predetermined near range (D) with a predetermined first illuminance distribution (B1; B2; B3; B4), wherein the lighting device (12) is designed to provide a low beam that extends in a vehicle longitudinal direction (L) at least as far as or further than the near range (D). The control device (14) automatically detects a parameter (P1; P2; P3; P4) and, depending on the detected parameter (P1; P2; P3; P4), changes the first illuminance distribution (B1; B2; B3; B4) at least in the near range (D) into at least a second illuminance distribution (B1; B2; B3; B4) by controlling the semiconductor light sources.",
