METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING VEHICLE TYRES

A method for manufacturing vehicle tires is proposed, which comprises the following steps: a) manufacturing a tire blank with a tire carcass, sidewalls, tire beads with one or more tire building drums, b) arranging a tire belt (1) coaxially to the tire carcass, c) applying a winding tape (2,3) over the belt layer (1), wherein the winding tape (2,3) comprises a plurality of strength carriers made of an aramid-nylon hybrid, wherein the strength carriers each comprise two filaments made of an aramid material and in each case one filament made of a nylon material, d) wherein the winding process is carried out with two winding heads, e) wherein the winding process with each winding head respectively begins from the middle region (4) of the tire belt (1) and via a winding operation the winding tape (2,3) is guided to the edges of the tire belt (1), f) wherein during the winding process a variation in the pretension in a range between at least 15 N and at most 80 N of the winding tape (2,3) to be wound takes place.
