The present invention relates to a permanently braked roller device (5) for a mobile seating, reclining and/or transport furniture (1), in particular a chair, wherein the roller device comprises: two rollers (9) which are connected to one another via a common shaft (10); a housing (12) with a bearing bush (11), in which the shaft is rotatably mounted, wherein an axially acting braking device (31) and/or a radially acting braking device (35) is fastened to the housing (12) and is in permanent frictional contact with the roller (9) for permanently braking the roller device (5).
