The invention relates to a tire monitoring system (1a) with a valve body (2) having a fastening section (9), a fastening element (12a), and a tire pressure sensor (3) with a housing (4a) that has a fastening area (7), wherein the fastening section (9) and the fastening area (7) are releasably connected to one another by means of the fastening element (12a), and wherein the fastening area (7) movably supports the fastening element (12a) between a locking position and an unlocking position, and wherein an elastic latching element (16) is provided which presses the fastening element (12a) into the locking position. The fastening area (7) of the housing (4a; 4b; 4c; 4d; 4e) has at least one securing arm (22) which secures the at least one fastening element (12a; 12b; 12c; 12d; 12e) on the fastening area (7) of the housing (4a; 4b; 4c; 4d; 4e) by the at least one securing arm (22) blocking a movement of the at least one fastening element (12a; 12b; 12c; 12d; 12e) directed from the unlocking position beyond the locking position.
