During a gear change of the transmission, the electric motor is used for speed synchronization of the transmission with a target speed of the internal combustion engine. According to the invention, the speed synchronization is carried out via torque-controlled operation of the internal combustion engine and speed-controlled operation of the electric machine (S3), whereby shortened shift times are achieved.",
