DEVICE FOR PROTECTING THE PASSENGER COMPARTMENT OF A MOTOR VEHICLE, FOR TRANSPORTING WASTE OR THE LIKE

The device for protecting the passenger compartment of a motor vehicle (8) comprises a flexible envelope adaptable inside said vehicle and means for maintaining the envelope in said passenger compartment. The envelope (1) comprises a protective flap (2) which is arranged to cover the edge (811) of the trunk opening, and comprises holding means arranged to maintain said flap in the peripheral rabbet of the trunk opening. Lateral flaps (22) are provided to cover the rear edges of the side walls of the vehicle, and a rear closing panel (16) makes it possible to cover and protect the trunk threshold and the bumper and is moreover dimensioned to constitute a rear closing wall of the envelope.
