  "textContent": "The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing an electrical heating device with an open housing, in which at least one sheet metal strip (16) with a PTC element (14) arranged therebetween, comprising a PTC heating element (12), and at least one radiator element (10) in thermal contact therewith are held, and which carries a contact tongue (26) for electrical connection of the at least one PTC heating element (12), which contact tongue is connected to a selected sheet metal strip (16). The present invention is based on the problem of specifying a method for manufacturing an electrical heating device by means of which a contact tongue (26) can be connected to a selected sheet metal strip (16) in a simple and economical manner. In order to solve the process-related problem, the present invention proposes a method in which the housing is closed, including the PTC heating element (12) and radiator element (10), so that the contact tongue (26) and the selected sheet metal strip (16) overlap and the contact tongue (26) is electrically connected to the selected sheet metal strip (16) by plastic deformation in the overlap region. The present invention furthermore proposes an electrical heating device with an open housing, in which at least one sheet metal strip (16) with a PTC element (14) arranged therebetween, comprising a PTC heating element (12), and at least one radiator element (10) in thermal contact therewith are held, in which the housing carries a contact tongue (26) for electrical connection of the at least one PTC heating element (12), which contact tongue is connected to a selected sheet metal strip (16) via a crimp connection, which is exposed in a housing opening (68) for a forming tool, with which selected sheet metal strips (16) can be connected in the region of their ends by forming with associated contact tongues (26).",
