A cam cap (10) is placed on a journal (35) of a camshaft (30) provided with a sprocket (20) to constitute a bearing supporting the journal (35). The cam cap (10) includes an accommodating groove (12) in which a thrust plate (33) provided on the journal (35) is accommodated, an oil passage (13) opened at a position facing a camshaft oil groove (32) provided in the journal (35), the oil passage (13) communicating with the accommodating groove (12), and an oil reservoir (14) that is a recess provided in a first sidewall (12A) of the accommodating groove (12). The cam cap (10) is placed on the journal (35) such that the accommodating groove (12) is located at a position closer to the sprocket (20) than the oil passage (13) is. When the thrust plate (33) is accommodated in the accommodating groove (12), the oil passage (13) and the oil reservoir (14) communicate with each other, at a position outward of an outer peripheral edge (33A) of the thrust plate (33) in a radial direction of the thrust plate (33).
