METHOD FOR PROVIDING INFORMATION ABOUT FREE SPACE IN A REGION SURROUNDING A MOTOR VEHICLE AS RAW SENSOR DATA AT A COMMUNICATION INTERFACE, SENSOR DEVICE, PROCESSING DEVICE AND MOTOR VEHICLE

The invention relates to a method for providing information dependent on an object detected in a surrounding area (7, 8) of a motor vehicle (1), in which the surrounding area (7, 8) is detected with a sensor device (4, 10, 11) of the motor vehicle (1), and information is provided at a communication interface in the motor vehicle (1), wherein sensor raw data is stored as information regarding a free space recognized between the sensor device (4, 10, 11) and an object detected in the surrounding area (7, 8) in a sensor device-side control unit (3a) and this sensor raw data is provided at a communication interface (13) connected to the sensor device-side control unit (3a) for transmission to and for further processing with a further control unit (3b) of a processing device (12) comprising the two control units (3a, 3b) and designed for creating a surrounding area map. The invention also relates to a sensor device, a processing device (12), and a motor vehicle (1).
