  "textContent": "The invention relates to a reinforcing carrier (8) for elastomeric products, in particular for the belt ply (7) of vehicle pneumatic tires, wherein the reinforcing carrier (8) comprises a rectilinear core (9) and a sheath (10) surrounding this core (9), wherein the core (9) is formed from exactly one textile yarn made of fibers twisted together for the first time and wherein the sheath (10) comprises textile high-modulus continuous filaments (12). The object is to provide a reinforcing carrier which increases the durability of the elastomeric product. Furthermore, the reinforcing carrier is to be distinguished by a stress-strain behavior which, when the reinforcing carrier ply is used, in particular as a belt ply in vehicle pneumatic tires, permits problem-free tire building including vulcanization and imparts even better high-speed and rolling resistance properties to the tire. The object is achieved in that the yarn of the core (9) is a low-modulus staple fiber yarn made of fibers (11) of limited length which are twisted together for the first time, and in that the high-modulus continuous filaments (12) of the sheath (10) wrap around the core (9) in an approximately helical manner.",
