METHOD, DEVICE, COMPUTER PROGRAM AND COMPUTER PROGRAM PRODUCT FOR DETERMINING WHETHER A PORTABLE KEY DEVICE IS LOCATED IN AN ACTIVE AREA IN RELATION TO A BARRIER

It is presented a method for determining whether a portable key device (2) is located in an active area in relation to a barrier (15). The method is performed in an access control device and comprises the steps of: detecting an angle of arrival (alpha) of a wireless signal from the portable key device using a pair of antennas (5a,5b) provided such that a line (6) between the pair of antennas crosses the barrier; and determining whether the portable key device is located within the active area based on the angle of arrival.
