LOW PROFILE REFRIGERATED TRANSPORT UNIT

A low profile refrigerated transport unit is described. The low profile refrigerated transport unit includes a low profile container including a first end wall, a second end wall, a top wall and a bottom wall defining a low profile internal space configured to store cargo therein. The low profile protective cage extends from the low profile container. The low profile protective cage is external to the internal space extends from the first end wall. A low profile TRU is disposed within the low profile protective cage and attached to the first end wall external to the internal space. The low profile TRU includes a condensing section, and the condensing section completely external to the internal space. The low profile internal space has a low profile useable cargo length that is greater than a useable cargo length in a similar sized conventional refrigerated transport unit.
