A brake control system (1) for a vehicle with a post-collision automatic braking function (2) includes one or more mechanisms (31, 32, 34) configured to release at least one brake (100) of the vehicle upon activation of at least one of the mechanisms (31, 32, 34) after a collision of the vehicle has been detected.
