The invention refers to a control circuit (1, 1') for an illumination module in a vehicle, comprising an input channel (3) for receiving a pulse width modulated (PWM) signal; a filter (13, 54, 2802, 2822, 2842) configured to extract information received by the input channel (3); one or more first light sources (9a, 9b, 62, 2320, 2320a, 2330, 2330a); one or more second light sources (11a, 11b, 64, 2320b, 2330, 2330b); a first output channel (5) which is adapted to control on and off states of the one or more first light sources (9a, 9b, 62, 2320, 2320a, 2330, 2330a) depending on the extracted information; and a second output channel (7) which is adapted to control on and off states of the one or more second light source (11a, 11b, 64, 2320b, 2330, 2330b) connected to the second output channel (7) depending on the extracted information; and an electronic circuit (2310, 2310a, 2310b, 2410, 2800, 2820, 2840) connected to the first output channel (5) and comprising: a circuit carrier (2340) which comprises the one or more first light sources (9a, 9b, 62, 2320, 2320a, 2330, 2330a); and at least one circuit connection (2316, 2316a, 2316b, 2504) mounted to the circuit carrier (2340), the circuit connection (2316, 2316a, 2316b, 2504) being coupled to at least one of the one or more first light sources (9a, 9b, 62, 2320, 2320a, 2330, 2330a), wherein at least one of the one or more first light sources (9a, 9b, 62, 2320, 2320a, 2330, 2330a) are supplied with current corresponding to a voltage applied to the circuit connection (2316, 2316a, 2316b, 2504), and wherein the voltage applied to the circuit connection (2316, 2316a, 2316b, 2504) comprises an on-board voltage of the vehicle.
