A pneumatic tire according to an aspect of the present invention includes, a side protector provided on a side wall portion located on a tire outer side of a carcass layer spanning between a pair of left and right bead cores, rising from a side profile of the tire to the tire outer side, and extending in a tire circumferential direction, a wear indicator hole (10) provided on a surface of the side protector, extending from the surface of the side protector to a tire inner side, and serving as an indication of wear of the side protector, and guide recess portions (11A and 11B) extending from the surface of the side protector to the tire inner side. The guide recess portions (11A and 11B) terminate in the vicinity of the wear indicator hole (10), and, in a projection view in the tire circumferential direction, at least a portion of the guide recess portions (11A and 11B) overlaps the wear indicator hole (10).
