There is provided a rubber composition comprising a diene-based rubber and a hydrogenated hydrocarbon resin, wherein: the content of the hydrogenated hydrocarbon resin is 1 to 200 parts by mass with respect to 100 parts by mass of the diene-based rubber; the hydrogenated hydrocarbon resin is obtained by hydrogenating a hydrocarbon resin containing a C5-based petroleum resin or a C5/C9-based petroleum resin; a hydrogenation rate of the hydrogenated hydrocarbon resin is within a range of 0.1 to 80%; a weight average molecular weight (Mw) of the hydrogenated hydrocarbon resin is within a range of 700 to 6,000; and a softening point of the hydrogenated hydrocarbon resin is within a range of 80 to 150°C.
