Source
Tail cone assemblies for gas turbine engines are described. The tail cone assemblies include a generator housing (502) having an electrical connector (506), the generator housing (502) defining a longitudinal axis. A first casing (514) is arranged radially outward from the generator housing (502) relative to the longitudinal axis and a second casing (516) arranged radially outward from the first casing (514) relative to the longitudinal axis. A hollow strut (518) extends radially between the first casing (514) and the second casing (516) and defining an interior cavity, the hollow strut (518) located circumferentially relative to the longitudinal axis at a location radially aligned with the electrical connector (506) of the generator housing (502). An electrical conductor (510) is arranged within the interior cavity of the hollow strut (518) and an adapter (512) is configured to electrically connect the electrical conductor (510) with the electrical conductor (510).
