A LiDAR sensor unit (14) is configured to detect information of an outside area of a vehicle with sensing light (14a). A cover (12) covers the LiDAR sensor unit (14) so as to allow passage of the sensing light (14a) while forming a part of an outer surface of the vehicle. A strain gage (15) is disposed on the cover (12) and configured to output a strain signal (S11) corresponding to strain generated in the cover (12). A processor (162) is configured to detect a foreign substance adhered to the cover (12) based on the strain signal (S 11).
