It is an object of the present teaching, in a vehicle comprising transmission members provided to have backlash, to improve responsiveness of acceleration or deceleration while suppressing shock on the vehicle. The vehicle comprises a power source, a driving member, a first transmission member and a second transmission member, and a control device, wherein the control device includes, for example, an approaching power increase process for increasing the power of the power source so as to accelerate the approach of the first transmission member to the second transmission member in the non-transmitting state, and a power reduction process for reducing the transmission torque after the approaching power increase process, and the control device controls the timing for transition from the approaching power increase process to the power reduction process so as to be at the same time as or before the timing for switching from the non-transmitting state to the acceleration transmitting state, and controls the timing for ending the power reduction process so as to be after the timing for switching.
