Independent suspension (1) for vehicles, in particular for the transport of people and/or materials, comprising a hub (2) defining a rotation axis (R) of the vehicle wheel (3), an electric motor (4), operatively connected to the hub (2) and configured to put the hub (2) in rotation. The electric motor (4) extends along a development axis (S) thereof parallel to the rotation axis (R) of the hub (2).
