JET FLAME SHIELD FOR PROTECTION AGAINST BATTERY THERMAL RUNAWAY

Jet flame shield for a battery of an electric vehicle, comprising at least 3 fibrous layers, a middle fibrous layer sandwiched between two inert fibrous layers, obtainable by superposition of the at least 3 layers and penetrating all layers with a binder to form a substantially closed shield, and whereby the middle fibrous layer is a mechanically bonded nonwoven layer of carbon fibers.
