AN INFLATABLE AIRBAG FORMING PART OF A VEHICLE SAFETY SYSTEM OR A WEARABLE, A METHOD OF PROVIDING SUCH AIRBAG, AND THE USE OF SUCH AIRBAG

An inflatable airbag (1; 1'; 1") forming part of a vehicle safety system or a wearable is provided. The airbag comprising a first wall (10) and a second wall (20) that are mutually joined along an outer perimeter (11, 21) to form a closed airbag. The first wall comprises a first wall portion (12) and a second wall portion (13), where a first edge portion (14) of the first wall portion (12) is joined to a first edge portion (15) of the second wall portion (13). The second wall (20) comprises a first wall portion (22) and a second wall portion (23), where a first edge portion (24) of the first wall portion (22) is joined to a first edge portion (25) of the second wall portion (23). The first edge portions of the first and second wall portions of the first wall each have a sub-portion (14a, 15a) having a convex extension. The first edge portions of the first and second wall portions of the second wall each have a sub-portion (24a, 25a) having a concave extension. Also, a method of providing such airbag is disclosed. The invention also refers to the use of such airbag.
