A method (200) includes determining a current burn flow value of a turbine engine (205), measuring a fuel pressure of a metered fuel flow of liquid fuel to a combustor of the turbine engine at a measurement point in a fuel system upstream of the combustor (210) and determining a current burner pressure as a function of the measured fuel pressure and the current burn flow value (215).
