Provided are a battery rack and an energy storage system including the battery rack. The battery rack includes a frame unit having an accommodation portion configured to accommodate a battery module. The frame unit includes a rail groove unit on one side of the frame unit that extends in a longitudinal direction and has a shape of a groove, and a moving protrusion protruding outward from on another side of the frame unit opposite to the one side on which the rail groove unit is located.
