METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR MONITORING FIRE IN BATTERY

A method and apparatus for monitoring a fire in a battery. The method of monitoring a fire in a battery includes: obtaining a temperature of a battery module; comparing a temperature change amount of the battery module with a reference temperature change amount during a reference time, if the temperature of the battery module reaches a predetermined temperature setting value; changing the reference time or the reference temperature change amount, if the temperature change amount is less than the reference temperature change amount; and disconnecting a connection between the battery module and a load, if the temperature change amount is equal to or greater than the reference temperature change amount.
