A battery module includes a plurality of battery cells, a module case configured to accommodate the plurality of battery cells, wherein at least a part of one surface of the module case is perforated to form a venting hole, and a retainer is provided on an inner peripheral surface of the venting hole, and a block member configured to cover at least a part of the venting hole, wherein at least a part of the block member is inserted into the venting hole so that the retainer blocks the block member from being separated inward of the module case.
